Four Fundamental Goals of Student Achievement
We believe that all students are capable of achieving personal greatness. We believe that achievement in four fundamental areas set student's up for success. We do what it takes to make sure every NCCES student achieves the following fundamental goals.

All students will be proficient readers of grade-level or higher content.

All students will demonstrate grade level or higher reading comprehension.

All students will demonstrate grade level or higher reading fluency.

Proficiency (score of “240” or higher) on the MCAS ELA test
-
Score of “3” or higher on the MCAS ELA Open Response items
-
Stanine score of “5” or higher on the GRADE test
-
Score of 40% or higher on the TOSCRF (Test of Silent Contextual Reading Fluency)

Score of “500” or higher on the (P)SAT Critical Reading Test
-
All students will be proficient writers of grade-level or higher text.

All students will demonstrate mastery of grade level narrative, analytical, and persuasive writing.

Score of 8/12 or higher for Topic Development on the MCAS Composition test
-
Score of 6/8 or higher for Conventions on the MCAS Composition test
-
Meeting of standards for the Senior Project research paper

Score of “500” or higher on the (P)SAT Writing Test OR a score of 8/12 on the SAT essay
-
All students will be proficient at grade-level or higher mathematical problem-solving, reasoning, and computational skills.

All middle school students will be prepared to enter a high school Algebra or higher-level math class.

All middle school students will be prepared to enter a high school Algebra or higher-level math class.

All high school students will be prepared for college level mathematics without need for remediation.

Successful completion of all requisite areas of the Prentice Hall math program

Passing grade on each math class Exit Exam
